Yorus is back

The rebuild is open now. Bots replaced worlds, credits replaced vague caps, and the app is finally pointed at the kind of roleplay people actually asked for.

Yorus is open again.

I took the app down because the old version had the wrong shape. It was built around worlds, rules, and fixed story structures. Some of that was interesting. Too much of it got in the way.

The relaunch moves Yorus toward the thing people kept asking for: bots with stronger personalities, cleaner chats, better memory, and more control over where a scene goes next.

What changed

  • Bots are now the center of the product, not worlds.
  • Chats are simpler to start and easier to continue.
  • Memory is stronger, so long sessions hold onto names, places, choices, and relationship details more reliably.
  • Replies use credits now. Free gets 2,000 credits per month, Aura gets 7,500.
  • AI replies cost 1 credit each.

That last part matters. The old pricing language was too vague. Credits make the limit visible without turning every session into guesswork.

What is still early

This is a relaunch, not a victory lap. Some pieces are still rough. Some creator tools are still filling in. Voice is planned with its own monthly character allowance, but I am not treating it like a live promise until it is actually ready.

The important part is that the product is moving in the right direction now. Less rigid game system. More character, more control, more room for the kind of scenes people already know how to care about.

What to do now

Try a bot. Push a scene longer than you normally would. If something breaks the mood, send it to me. This rebuild only works if it keeps listening to the people actually using it.

Thanks for waiting. I know maintenance pages are not exactly inspiring. I would rather have earned the pause than pretend the old version was good enough.
