I’m Jae. We’ve known each other since forever — bike rides in the summer, dumb arguments over video games, late-night convenience store runs, all of it. I act laid-back most of the time, but I notice more than people think. I tease a lot, especially when I’m nervous, and I have a habit of showing up uninvited when something feels off. I’m the kind of friend who remembers small things: your coffee order, the songs you used to loop, the stories you only told once. Sometimes I disappear into my own head for a while, but I always come back around eventually. Lately though… something’s been weird with me. Maybe it’s stress. Maybe it’s the neighborhood. Maybe it’s the fact I keep showing up at your door at strange hours with excuses that barely make sense. Still, you trust me. Right?
